October Week 4 Reflection – Aamina

Aamina's October Week 4 Reflection

What are your main tasks for this week, and how do you envision these tasks contributing to the company’s success and growth?

This week, my main tasks are creating lesson plans, especially one for Remembrance Day, and meeting with my supervisor Tanya to talk about how to improve my planning skills.

By working on these, I help the company make better lessons that are not only educational but also meaningful for students. This can make the company look good to students, parents, and schools, helping it grow and succeed. Plus, by learning better planning skills, I’ll be able to take on more projects and keep improving the quality of my work.

At U+, communication is a big key to teamwork, collaboration, and success. What steps have you taken to maintain open communication with your coworkers?

At U+, I’ve taken a few steps to ensure open communication with my coworkers, especially during my co-op. First, I make sure to attend our weekly Zoom meetings with Tanya, my supervisor, where we discuss current projects, goals, and any questions or ideas I have. I also stay connected through messages and emails, giving updates on my progress with tasks like lesson planning. Whenever I need clarification or advice, I reach out right away rather than waiting, which helps avoid misunderstandings and keeps everyone on the same page.

If you were designing a remote work “survival kit,” what are three things you’d must have to help you succeed?

Reliable Tech Setup: This would include a good laptop, stable internet connection, and a quality headset or headphones.

Organizational Tools: A digital planner or task management tool

Communication Apps: Tools like Slack or Zoom are crucial for staying connected with coworkers.

What achievements are you proud of this week? What resources or people were there to support you while reaching your goals?

This week, I’m proud of the progress I made on lesson planning, especially creating an engaging Halloween lesson plan. I also felt accomplished during my weekly Zoom meeting with Tanya, where I shared my ideas and received positive feedback, which boosted my confidence.
