November Week 3 Reflection – Joseph Yu

Joseph's November Week 3 Reflection

How do you think your work impacts your team and the organization as a whole? Describe what a perfect team member looks like, from your experience.

My work like the Lego presentations impact the team and the organization, because if my presentations get approved by my supervisor, they can be used in the future which helps the organization. A perfect team member would be someone that is reliable, has great communications skills, teamwork, great work ethic, and has a winner mentality. This is because they are able to complete all the work they are assigned, but also be able to help their coworkers, and when faced with challenges they are able to overcome it with their mindset.

If you had the creative freedom to design the course of your own projects, what would they look like? Give at least 2 examples with explanations.

If I had the creative freedom to design the course of my own projects I would first make any work due before the actual due date. This is because I have a tendency to procrastinate when I am given tasks with long due dates. For example, when I was doing one of my journals for my coop I did it 30 minutes before the due date. Another thing I would apply is to have group projects to be more in person, this is because it is more difficult to get in contact with the other people when they are online, especially if they are working off hours.

Pick 3 fictional characters you would like to have on your dream team. Explain why and how these characters will benefit your work at U+.

The 3 fictional characters I would choose to be on my dream team would be L from death note as he is extremely smart. Naruto from Naruto because he can create copies of himself which can help greatly for lots of tasks, he is also there for the vibes he brings. Lastly it would be batman because he is extremely smart and has a strong work ethic, also because he is batman.

What music soundtrack would be playing in the background if someone had to make a montage of your typical day at U+?

If someone would make a sound track that would be played in the background the soundtrack would probably be made of relaxing or elevator music. For example, one song would be The happening by Herb Alpert and The Tijuana Brass. This is because most weeks I spent 70-80% of my time looking at a  screen reading and typing.
