November Week 3 Reflection – Mayuresan

Mayuresan's November Week 3 Reflection

How do you think your work impacts your team and the organization as a whole? Describe what a perfect team member looks like, from your experience.

I believe my work impacts my team and the organization as a whole, as it helps to succeed in goals that our team are looking to reach.  For example, by working on the Camp workbooks or creating lesson plans for the LEGO Robotics program, we are providing material and resources for campers to thrive and reach their potential, a common goal we share at U+. A perfect team member would be someone with exceptional communication and organizational skills, and able to efficiently delegate tasks while providing support to others when needed respectfully.

If you had the creative freedom to design the course of your own projects, what would they look like? Give at least 2 examples with explanations.

Firstly, my project would be an informational high school co-op workshop where students can learn about the opportunities available at U+ during their co-op term and employment opportunities after their term. We would need people to help create social media posts, reach out to high school administrators to book a time for when the workshop would be held, etc. It would be a project that can target Grade 9 and 10 students who could have the chance to explore the co-op program further before starting in Grade 11.

Pick 3 fictional characters you would like to have on your dream team. Explain why and how these characters will benefit your work at U+.

3 fictional characters I would like to have on my dream team would be “Mojav”, “Moki”, and “Jova”. These characters would benefit my work at U+ as they bring fourth unique skills that will help our team achieve our goals. For example, “Mojav” is a passionate graphic designer who can create informative and engaging posters for U+ programs.

What music soundtrack would be playing in the background if someone had to make a montage of your typical day at U+?

Lo-fi & hiphop beats would be playing in the background if someone had to make a montage of my typical day at U+. This choice of music reflects a workspace where I can feel relaxed and productive while doing work. I enjoy listening to soft beats without too many lyrics to minimize distractions, a common issue many people face while working virtually. By having lo-fi music playing in the background, I can remain focused without feeling distracted, yet feel a sense of relaxation and relief of stress.
