March Week 4 Reflection – Ankie

Ankie's March
Week 4 Reflection

If your project had a mascot, what would it look like and why? How does this mascot represent your project?

If my team could create a mascot for the project that I’m currently working on, it would be a bright orange owl with a pair of large, round glasses, symbolizing wisdom and knowledge. The orange color is to maintain consistency and ties back to U Plus’s identity; the glasses reflect our team’s hard work and focus on reviewing and giving suggestions to web pages.

How is your team working together so far? Are there any areas where collaboration could be improved to make things more effective?

To improve the team’s collaboration, I would create a spreadsheet or document to outline everyone’s responsibilities and due dates for completing them. Everyone can fill out the document indicating what they have done throughout the day in specific details and what they have learned from it to make better improvements for our next projects. On top of that, I would send check-in messages and host meetings to ensure accountability, allowing everyone to interact with each other and ask questions when needed.

What drives you to stay motivated and productive throughout the week? Are there any specific factors that help you stay focused?

When working in a team with varying levels of involvement, I often remind myself to focus on the team’s benefit and prioritize reaching the overall goal. Even when others are not as involved, I still contribute as much as I can, as I believe I am doing something meaningful. However, I assign tasks to my teammates to ensure everyone has an equal amount of work and responsibilities. Even when some of my teammates may not be engaged, I provide support or discuss solutions with them instead of getting frustrated.

If you could add one character to your team to make it stronger, who would it be and why?

If I could take a character from a movie and add them to my team, it would definitely be Hermione Granger from Harry Potter as a Content Editor. Not only does she have strong language and communication skills, but she also knows how to use magic to complete work efficiently, making her perfect for reviewing and polishing the team’s suggestions. Additionally, she is very careful, and I’m sure she would ensure all the information is clear and accurate to prevent any confusing suggestions.
