Louis's March
Week 3 Reflection

Please share how you feel about the onboarding process. What are some resources that were helpful, and what’s something you’d like to see implemented in the future?
I felt that the onboarding process was pretty smooth. The onboarding website provided a lot of valuable resources. The Slack channel was also very helpful. It helps clarify my questions whenever I’m confused or stuck with what I’m supposed to do. Additionally, the weekly meetings were also helpful for understanding what the week is going to look like. This way, I can predict what I will be doing and how this week is going to come out. For the future, I believe adding a few videos of what certain roles will experience can be beneficial. It can be added to the onboarding website to show the tasks and projects they can expect to be assigned.
Describe one main task you worked on this week. Who did you work with? How did you approach the task? What did you accomplish?
This week, I was tasked to fill in the Carole Web Inventory Sheet with a few other co-op students. I’m part of Neeha’s web team and, together, we added comments and suggestions to web pages from U+ and other sides of the company. I tried to suggest different comments that others haven’t proposed yet. Currently, I have finished two tabs for this spreadsheet. I have to complete the YRES, U+ Career, and TRES tabs next. Additionally, my team is planning to have a group meeting tomorrow (March 28, 2025) for a progress check on this spreadsheet.
What is one big challenge you faced this week? Who did you turn to when you needed support? Describe what you learned and what you would do differently the next time.
There wasn’t a challenge that I faced this week. This is because my task that I was assigned was similar to my previous tasks that I have worked on. However, if I need support, I can ask my fellow team members or my team leader. Additionally, I have learned a lot about how web pages can be improved, making it more user-friendly and appealing.
What personal motto or guiding principle would you bring with you to your role next week, and how do you see it helping you contribute to our organization’s mission?
I think being curious and committed is something that can help contribute to the organization’s mission. By asking ourselves thoughtful questions, I can make my work align better with the organization’s mission and uncover ways to improve myself. Additionally, by being committed, it ensures that I am always delivering consistent value to the team. By bringing curiosity and commitment, I hope to contribute by not just doing work, but also finding new ways to do it better and more efficiently.
