Please share how you feel about the onboarding process. What are some resources that were helpful, and what’s something you’d like to see implemented in the future?
The onboarding process has been a valuable experience, providing me with the necessary guidance to get started effectively. The structured approach helped me understand my responsibilities and expectations clearly. Some of the most helpful resources were the U+ website and the video tutorials with all the information that provided clear instructions and practical examples. Additionally, having access to ChatGPT, Google Search, and other research tools has been beneficial in completing my projects. One improvement I’d like to see implemented in the future is additional tasks or projects that are catered towards my specific role at this company. Overall, the onboarding process has been a positive experience, and I appreciate the resources and support available to ensure success in my role.
Describe one main task you worked on this week. Who did you work with? How did you approach the task? What did you accomplish?
This week, my main task was working on the Carole Web Spreadsheet, where I analyzed various websites and provided suggestions for improving their user experience. My group of other Digital Content Creators and Marketing Assistants all worked independently to leave our own suggestions. I utilize tools like Google Search and ChatGPT to support my research. My approach involved reviewing each website, identifying key elements such as navigation, design, and accessibility. Through this process, I accomplished a detailed evaluation of multiple websites, and I am halfway finished with the project.
What is one big challenge you faced this week? Who did you turn to when you needed support? Describe what you learned and what you would do differently the next time.
One big challenge I faced this week while working on the Spreadsheet Project was making sure that my suggestions for website improvements were both practical and useful. Some websites had clear areas for enhancement, while others required a bit of a deeper analysis to write meaningful recommendations. When I needed support, I turned to ChatGPT for guidance on structuring my feedback effectively and making sure my recommendations met the standard in user experience.
What personal motto or guiding principle would you bring with you to your role next week, and how do you see it helping you contribute to our organization’s mission?
A personal motto I will bring with me next week is “Strive for continuous improvement.” This mindset encourages me to stay curious and committed to keep improving my skills and contributions. By applying this principle, I will approach each task with a growth-oriented mindset, ensuring that my research and suggestions for website improvements align with the mission of delivering high-quality and user-friendly experiences. Additionally, maintaining this focus will help me stay motivated, seek out better solutions, and efficiently manage my workload to meet project deadlines. Ultimately, embracing continuous improvement will allow me to contribute meaningfully by offering well-researched insights, refining my analytical skills, and consistently delivering high-quality work that supports U+ Education’s goals.
