Describe a challenge you have faced in a project thus far. How did you overcome it?
While working on a nationwide project, I encountered schools that didn’t provide email addresses, which created a challenge for outreach. After consulting with colleagues, I adapted by including phone numbers instead, ensuring the project progressed smoothly and highlighting the value of flexibility and collaboration.
At U+, we advocate for lifelong learning and professional development through experiences. Describe a time where you were pushed out of your comfort zone during your placement and what you have learned from the experience.
During my placement, I was pushed out of my comfort zone when tasked with making cold calls to the Montreal region. Initially, I felt apprehensive about reaching out to unfamiliar contacts, but I quickly learned to adapt by preparing scripts, anticipating questions, and focusing on building rapport. This experience improved my communication skills, boosted my confidence, and taught me the value of persistence and preparation in professional interactions.
What application or website do you use the most on a regular basis during your shift (e.g., Slack, Google search engine, monday.com)? What do you use it for?
The application I use the most during my shift is Monday.com, particularly for managing the nationwide project. I use it to input and organize information about schools, including their emails and contact details, ensuring all data is centralized and easy to access. This helps streamline the outreach process, track progress, and maintain an organized workflow, making collaboration with team members more efficient and effective.
If you had to choose an animal (real or fictional) to describe your working style, what would it be and why?
I would choose a dolphin to describe my working style. Dolphins are intelligent, adaptable, and highly collaborative, which mirrors how I approach my work. I thrive in team settings, value clear communication, and can quickly adjust to challenges or new situations. Like a dolphin, I focus on building strong connections and finding creative solutions to achieve shared goals effectively.
